SmartiePal is an AI-driven customer support solution that provides an embeddable webchat interface for your website. Create a free SmartiePal account or enter your existing Assistant ID to embed SmartiePal’s chat widget and start engaging visitors instantly.

With this plugin, you can:

1. Create a new free SmartiePal account by entering basic user details (email, first name, surname, password).

2. Manually enter an existing Assistant ID if you already have a SmartiePal account.

3. Automatically insert the SmartiePal chat loader script in your site’s header.

Usage

After activating the plugin, configure your SmartiePal integration in the WordPress admin:

1. Navigate to Settings » SmartiePal.

To create a new free SmartiePal account:

1. Fill in your Email, First Name, Surname, and Password fields.

2. Click Save Settings and Create Account. Your Assistant ID will be generated and saved automatically.

To use an existing Assistant:

1. Enter your Assistant ID in the Manual Assistant ID field.

2. Click Save Assistant ID.

To remove your SmartiePal account:

1. Click Remove Account and confirm in the modal dialog.

This plugin integrates with SmartiePal, an AI-powered customer service platform, to provide automated chat support on your website.

Purpose: Enables AI-driven chat functionality, allowing for automated customer support and interaction with website visitors.

Account Registration

To use this plugin, site administrators must create their own account on SmartiePal.com. During registration, the following personal information is collected and stored by SmartiePal:

1. Email address (used as login credential and for communication) 2. Password (encrypted and used for account authentication) 

This account is used to configure, manage, and monitor the AI assistant integrated into your website via the plugin.
Data Sent to SmartiePal

Once the plugin is configured and the chat widget is active, the following data is transmitted to SmartiePal servers:

1. User chat messages and interactions 2. Timestamps of interactions 3. IP address and browser/device information 4. Any user-provided data during conversations 5. Site administrator's SmartiePal account credentials (used once during setup for authentication via API) 

This data is used to process conversations, improve AI responses, and provide analytics to the site administrator.
