Installatie

Automatic Installation (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New

  5. The plugin will automatically redirect you to the settings page for configuration

Manual Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file

FAQ

How do I access the settings?

After activation, you’re automatically redirected to settings. You can also find it under Settings > V7 Legacy Editor in your admin menu.

Can I use both editors on the same site?

Yes! Enable Legacy Editor for posts but keep Gutenberg for pages, or any combination that suits your workflow.

Does this affect existing content?

No, existing posts and pages remain unchanged. The setting only affects the editor used for new content creation and editing.

What if I want to switch back?

Simply uncheck the appropriate boxes in settings and save. Gutenberg will be restored for those post types.

Can I use this with page builders?

Yes, this works with any page builder. The Legacy Editor setting only affects the default WordPress editor.

Does this work with custom post types?

Currently, the plugin supports Posts and Pages. Support for custom post types may be added in future versions.

Exactly what I needed – simple and effective

I’ve been looking for a way to use the classic editor for my blog posts without completely ditching Gutenberg for everything. This plugin nailed it! Love that I can keep the block editor for my landing pages but switch to the legacy editor for regular posts. The setup was super easy – it redirected me right to the settings after activation, so I didn’t have to hunt around. No bloat, no weird conflicts, just does what it says. Plus, knowing it’s GDPR compliant and doesn’t track anything is a nice bonus. If you miss the old editor but don’t want to go all-in, definitely give this a shot!

Finally, a simple way to get the Classic Editor back!

I’ve been struggling with the block editor for my blog posts, and this plugin was exactly what I needed. It’s super lightweight and just works right out of the box. I really like that I can choose to keep the new editor for pages but use the classic one for my posts. Saved me a lot of headache. Thanks for keeping it clean and simple!
