HelpLane Chat adds a powerful live chat widget to your WordPress site, enabling real-time customer support directly from your HelpLane dashboard.

For WooCommerce Stores:
When WooCommerce is active, the plugin automatically passes customer data to HelpLane:
* Customer order count
* Lifetime value (total spent)
* Currency
This helps your support team provide better, more personalized assistance.

This plugin connects to the HelpLane service to provide live chat functionality on your WordPress site.

What data is sent and when:
- The chat widget script is loaded from
chat.helplane.iowhen any page on your site is viewed - When a visitor opens the chat widget, their messages are sent to HelpLane servers
- For logged-in WordPress users, the following data is automatically sent to identify them:
- User ID
- Display name
- Email address
- When WooCommerce is active, additional customer data may be sent:
- Order count
- Total lifetime value (amount spent)
- Currency

Installatie
- Upload the
helplane-chatfolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Go to Settings > HelpLane Chat
- Enter your Brand Token from your HelpLane dashboard
- Save settings – the chat widget will now appear on your site!
New to HelpLane? Create a Free Account:
- Go to helplane.io and click “Get Started Free”
- Create your account (no credit card required)
- Complete the quick setup wizard to create your first brand
- Your Brand Token will be shown in Settings > Chat Widget
Already Have a HelpLane Account? Get Your Brand Token:
- Log in to your HelpLane dashboard
- Click the gear icon to open Settings
- Select “Chat Widget” from the menu
- Copy your Brand Token from the “Install Widget” section
- Paste it in the plugin settings
FAQ
Where do I get my Brand Token?
Log in to your HelpLane dashboard and go to Settings > Chat Widget. Your Brand Token is displayed there.
Will this slow down my site?
No. The widget script loads asynchronously and won’t block your page from loading.
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes! When WooCommerce is active, the plugin can automatically pass customer order data to help your support team.
Can I hide the widget on certain pages?
Yes, you can configure hidden URLs in your HelpLane dashboard under Chat Widget settings.
